The surroundings seemed somewhat dim, but Yu Higashino could still make out the general situation around him. Including himself, there were ten people in total, gathered in a cave whose exact location was unknown.

"Finally, you've arrived! Quite the grand entrance—let's see if your strength lives up to the reputation," someone remarked.

Yu Higashino turned his head toward the speaker. The person's face was vaguely familiar, as if he had seen him before, yet couldn't quite place him. The stranger wore a forehead protector marked with the insignia of the rogue ninjas from the Village Hidden in the Mist.
