“Roar, roar…” The Wild Boar King let out furious bellows, its bloodshot eyes locked onto the reptile not far ahead, legs pounding the earth as it charged with all its might.

It seemed that with just a bit more speed, it could crush its foe to death, then tear it apart and devour it. Rage had utterly consumed its reason.

In only a few days, the Wild Boar Kingdom it had painstakingly built was destroyed by these despicable reptiles. Its subjects were hunted down, some of the boars secretly betrayed it and stole away its beloved mates. Only a handful of companions remained, scattered in the recent chase.

Now, it was utterly alone.

The Wild Boar King failed to notice that despite its relentless acceleration, the distance between itself and the reptile remained unchanged, always four or five meters apart.

A beast weighing over three hundred kilograms, sprinting at fifty kilometers per hour, would be a disaster—a proper large-scale “traffic accident” if confronted head-on.

For Lu Chen, keeping this baiting distance was tricky. Slow down a bit and he might be caught; too fast and the boar might give up pursuit.

Fortunately, they had reached the riverbank…

Lu Chen slowed his pace again, weaving his body around a patch of reeds in the shallow water. Then he stopped running and turned, taunting with a loud challenge.

With the Wild Boar King’s intellect, it couldn’t fathom why the reptile had suddenly halted. All it knew was its enemy was right before its eyes.

A few more meters, and it could tear it apart!

As for the reeds ahead, it paid no mind, thinking it could trample through them easily.

Water splashed wildly as the Wild Boar King charged forth. Its forelegs had just stepped into the reeds when suddenly its body plunged downward.

How could there be a deep pit beneath the reeds? The thought flashed through its mind.

The Wild Boar King could swim, so it wasn’t overly alarmed as it fell into the pit, its limbs quickly paddling…

But it overlooked the nearby reptile—and forgot that, having lost its momentum, its weight conferred no advantage now.

Lu Chen, motionless, unleashed a guttural roar, baring his blood-stained maw and sharp, predatory fangs.

He lunged, aiming for the boar’s neck.

The voice of Croc Number Three was the signal to attack; the three hidden saltwater crocodiles nearby launched their ambush.

Neck, belly, hind legs, rump…

As his fangs sank in, Lu Chen noticed this beast was quite unlike ordinary wild boars. Its fur, mixed with mud and resin, was unexpectedly tough—not like pigskin, but with a hard, flexible texture akin to crocodile hide.

He bit down harder.

In mere seconds, the Wild Boar King’s body was streaked with four bloody wounds.

Yet its muscles were so thick! Although Lu Chen’s assault caused injury, he hadn’t bitten through the carotid artery—no fatal damage. As for the crocodile elders, their attacks did little harm.

Squeals of pain snapped the Wild Boar King back to its senses, and it struggled to flee to the shore.

Lu Chen, having prepared for this moment, was not about to let his prey escape. After swallowing a mouthful of bloody flesh, he pounced again, slashing at the wound on the boar’s hindquarters with his claws, ripping off a large chunk of hide.

Wounded repeatedly, the Wild Boar King’s reaction slowed by at least half. It howled in misery, spinning to ram Lu Chen, but he dodged with ease.

The remaining three saltwater crocodiles closed in.

The riverside grass was in chaos, the air thick with the scent of blood… The wind carried it far across the land.

With the crocodiles holding the boar at bay, every attack from Lu Chen tore off more bloody flesh.

As time passed, the Wild Boar King’s tough hide was stained crimson. Its speed slowed further—one of its forelegs had been bitten off, leaving it no hope of escape, only able to circle in place and whimper.

Just as Lu Chen prepared to leap and finish the beast off, he paused, turning his gaze to the magpie in the sky!

“Chatter, chirp, hiss…”

The little creature flapped its wings, calling out urgently.

Other animals were approaching—and not just a few?

Lu Chen listened closely, and indeed heard the thumping of footsteps, now only a hundred meters away.

Within seconds, a group of gray-black figures appeared.

It was the pack of gray wolves, arriving at the perfect moment.

Had they been a few minutes later, he would have dragged the dead Wild Boar King into the river already.

The wolves eyed the bloodied Wild Boar King nearby, their beastly eyes glinting with savage excitement.

“Howl… howl…” They let out low, warning growls, as if telling the reptiles to abandon the prey and leave.

Lu Chen ignored the wolves’ provocation and turned to look at the Gray Wolf King nearby.

Having not seen him for over two months, the beast had grown larger—over a meter tall, weighing more than a hundred pounds, twice the size of his kin, reminiscent of the giant wolves of ancient forests.

He stood motionless, radiating a chilling, bloodthirsty aura.

At this moment, a hint of confusion flashed through the Gray Wolf King's eyes; he felt the aura of the giant reptile nearby was oddly familiar, as though he had encountered it somewhere before.

He had evidently forgotten the little creature trembling atop a tree half a year ago.

“Hmm? I hear the cries of a wild boar ahead—likely South China Tiger T39 hunting… Let’s follow the drone’s camera and take a look,” Lin Xiaowen exclaimed in surprise in the live broadcast.

“We’re finally going to see the big cat—so excited…”

“Make the drone go faster, or the fight will be over by the time we arrive!”

“Xiaowen, be careful, don’t get too close to the battlefield. Tigers don’t care for pretty girls.”

The viewers in the live chat heard the continual cries and were filled with anticipation for what was to come.

As the wolf pack arrived, the drone finally reached the river.

“Where’s the South China Tiger?” Lin Xiaowen exclaimed.

The scene captured by the drone was completely different from what she imagined: a pack of gray wolves, a blood-drenched wild boar, and… four crocodiles?!

Were there really four crocodiles?!

An adult saltwater crocodile leading three juveniles?

Seeing the dark, massive scales below, Lin Xiaowen was stunned.

Not just her—the viewers in the live broadcast were also speechless.

How could crocodiles exist in the Tiannan Mountain Nature Reserve… Judging by their appearance, they seemed to have survived here for quite some time.

After a brief silence, the live broadcast exploded with activity.

“What? Is this a mistake, or are my eyes playing tricks?”

“I’ve learned something new today—there are crocodiles in Tiannan Mountain!”

“Can someone explain what species these are? Could the host have discovered a new kind?!”

The comment stream erupted, gifts floated in, and some tycoons rewarded several yachts…

A single yacht cost a thousand yuan, and per the streaming platform’s rules, such gifts would be broadcast across the entire network!

Suddenly, more viewers flocked to the broadcast.

Within half a minute, the number of viewers surpassed ten thousand.
