Tang Sect in "Dynasty" is considered a faction that straddles the line between good and evil. In essence, Tang Sect players have no fixed moral standards; they might do good deeds or commit misdeeds. As a result, the faction's reputation value never rises high, and its status in the martial world cannot compete with the leading sects.

Shu Mountain, on the other hand, is truly a prestigious orthodox sect. Its players mainly focus on vanquishing evil and upholding justice, which increases their chivalry and the sect’s reputation value. Once their reputation is well established, the sect's status rises accordingly, granting many system rewards that benefit all members of Shu Mountain.

Conversely, if Shu Mountain players maliciously engage in player killing or commit crimes like arson and murder, the sect’s reputation value drops. Such players are punished by Shu Mountain, and those who behave egregiously may face severe penalties, including expulsion from the sect and loss of rank and martial skills.

It was understandable, then, that Hua Feihong was so refined and courteous. But Water Dreamer cared nothing for these rules, shouting in anger, “Even if Fairy Lingyin herself came, I’m still going to slaughter this bastard today! Who the hell are you anyway?”

Hua Feihong was incensed. She had always treated others with utmost politeness, but she could hardly endure Water Dreamer’s crude insults.

She pressed her palms together, and together with Ma Junmei, unleashed two waves of sword shadows that swept toward Water Dreamer like a vast tide. No matter how nimble Water Dreamer was, he could not escape such a dense rain of swords. Within moments, his whole body was struck seven or eight times, and damage values around “-40” appeared in clusters.

Hua Feihong was secretly astonished. Her “Ten Thousand Sword Technique” had a single attack power of about 150 points, so it was clear the opponent’s defense was over a hundred.

“A mere second-turn player dares to act tough?” Water Dreamer hadn’t expected Shu Mountain players to assist Zhang He, and secretly activated his internal energy. This time, he fired an enormous Flicking Arrow, which exploded with a thunderous boom in the center of the crowd. The entire forest was soon awash in emerald green smoke. Water Dreamer darted into the poisonous mist, waving his hands left and right, releasing blue “Soul-Chasing Devil Sand” like drifting clouds from the sky.

Tang Sect is renowned for poisons and hidden weapons, especially when administered by a sect elder. Zhang He and his companions retreated while gulping down medicine.

At this moment, Brother Chun was flustered as well, seeing purple damage values appear above his head. “Are you insane? I’m a constable!”

Water Dreamer, now consumed by fury, cared only for Zhang He’s life, ignoring everyone else. “So what if you’re the emperor? As a Tang Sect Elder, I can kill whoever I want.”

“Damn!” Brother Chun roared, “You dare attack a government official? You must be tired of living.”

He whipped out his intimidation club and charged. Though his bravado was loud, as a fourth-turn silver badge constable, he wasn’t overly troubled by facing a fifth-turn Tang Sect elder. Everyone knows, however, that any master of hidden weapons also excels in agility: if their weapon misses, they must dodge quickly. As a constable, Brother Chun specialized in close combat and capture, but Water Dreamer’s “Eight Steps to Catch the Cicada” was a sophisticated movement skill. Even if Brother Chun got close, he couldn’t withstand the poisonous smoke and sand — his constitution dropped rapidly with every touch.

The forest was thick with smoke and flying hidden weapons, leaves swirling in chaos, and crows startled into flight.

In such conditions, Zhang He could only retreat, swallowing medicine while fending off Flicking Arrows with his sword. But this didn’t mean he was helpless, waiting to be slaughtered. He believed that Water Dreamer’s relentless attacks would eventually subside.

Yet Zhang He had clearly underestimated the stamina of a fifth-turn player. Water Dreamer unleashed hidden weapons in endless succession — Flicking Arrows, Scorpion Darts, Wind-Chasing Needles — paired with poison smoke and sand scattered everywhere, showing no signs of stopping. Zhang He and his companions were finding it increasingly difficult to defend.

Despite his rage, Water Dreamer was no fool. Even as a fifth-turn player, he was outnumbered four to one. If he used his fifth-turn ultimate move, Zhang He would surely die, but the cost was great: such a skill would consume vast amounts of all his attributes, and the remaining enemies could then pose a serious threat.

Thus, all the poisons and hidden weapons he used were low-tier martial arts, but driven by his powerful “Mystic Transformation” internal energy, even these were enough to throw Zhang He and his friends into disarray. Ma Junmei in particular was careless at first, until she was struck by a Scorpion Dart, losing 100 points of constitution in an instant, and soon succumbing to its poison. Had she not fortified herself with medicine, this second-turn Shu Mountain sword novice would have said her farewells.

Water Dreamer was at the height of his killing frenzy when, not far away, Zhang He suddenly thrust out a palm. The leaves, already swirling through the air, now danced denser and fiercer, as if a torrential rain was falling from the forest canopy.

This was the additional effect of “Flying Rock Palm”: a single strike would scatter rocks and debris, and at master level, unleash a razor-sharp wind to subdue foes.

At present, Zhang He’s “Flying Rock Palm” was only at advanced level, so the sandstorm effect was absent. Even at master level, releasing palm wind would require immense internal energy. If Zhang He’s internal energy were deep enough, his palm could turn the leaves into deadly weapons. Yet that wasn’t his intention; using his internal energy, he barely created a stream of air, enough to disrupt Water Dreamer’s vision, causing a brief pause in the relentless barrage of hidden weapons.

In the next moment, two crimson streaks shot out from the leafy barrier, piercing toward Water Dreamer’s chest at incredible speed.

This move was both perilous and swift, surprising even the experienced Water Dreamer, who hadn’t expected Zhong Shuman to attack him as well.

He didn’t need to wonder why — the purple damage values floating above Zhong Shuman’s head were explanation enough.

The Red Needle’s approach was exceedingly strange: one before, one after, circling in midair. Clearly, she had learned Zhang He’s tricks from the last battle at Skyway.

But Water Dreamer was no Ghost Rain Maple. He belonged to a ranged profession, lacking much close-combat experience. He knew that chivalrous martial arts were varied and complex; even if Zhong Shuman’s strike missed, more would follow.

At that moment, Water Dreamer whipped his sleeve, releasing four or five handfuls of Devil Sand, glowing red, blue, green, yellow, and white — clearly more potent poisons.

Zhong Shuman, startled, flipped backward, but failed to land steadily, ending up seated on the ground. Her shoulder was struck by a Flicking Arrow, and the damage values above her head grew denser.

Water Dreamer also retreated several steps, and a shocking green damage value floated above his head: “-279!”

Zhong Shuman had fired her “Lady’s Sleeve Arrow” during her backward flip, striking Water Dreamer’s ribs and staining his robe with blood.

He hadn’t yet had time to take medicine when a sudden pain in his back and a dizzy spell struck — Brother Chun’s intimidation club had landed squarely on his spine. Then, the Six Doors capture technique hooked his wrist like an iron claw, controlling his elbow and shoulder, and finally Brother Chun swiftly pressed three vital points on his shoulder.

“Damn it, can’t we talk things out? Must we resort to violence? So what if you’re a Tang Sect elder? Even in front of a government agency, you must face the law…” Brother Chun clearly did not wish for the conflict to escalate. After all, Tang Sect was a major power.

But Water Dreamer was truly enraged. After being struck at his vital points, his movement and strength dropped by 30% and 20% respectively. The “Eight Steps to Catch the Cicada” would be unusable for some time, and his hidden weapon range was reduced.

Water Dreamer now sensed real danger. He’d encountered such situations before: overwhelming strength was less frightening than being swarmed by many.

“Damn it!” Water Dreamer shook himself violently, expending his internal energy to forcefully repel his opponent.

He activated his “Mystic Transformation” internal energy to its utmost. Brother Chun couldn’t withstand it and was thrown clear, crashing into a thick tree trunk with a loud thud. Then, Zhang He and the others saw clearly as a cluster of silver stars, dazzling and blinding, struck Brother Chun’s chest.

This was Tang Sect’s fifth-turn advanced hidden weapon skill, “Golden Snake Wind-Chasing Needle.” As its name implies, its speed rivals the wind. Driven by formidable internal energy, it lacked poison but overwhelmed with sheer quantity — a deadly killing move.

“-232!”

“-230!”
“-238!”
“-235!”

Four consecutive red damage values appeared. Poor Brother Chun didn’t even have time to groan before he collapsed lifeless beneath the tree.

Such was the power of fifth-turn players — absolute instant kill.

At this point, everyone realized, especially Hua Feihong and Ma Junmei, that their feud with Tang Sect was now irreconcilable. If this Tang Sect elder didn’t die today, they would all perish.

Hua Feihong once again pressed her palms together, silently reciting her heart technique, then her robe billowed as she rushed toward Water Dreamer. This was perhaps the only opening, the sole moment when Water Dreamer had paused. Hua Feihong, a senior disciple of Shu Mountain Sword Sect, had the vision to recognize it.

Mid-run, Hua Feihong transformed into a bizarre, ancient purple giant sword.

The purple light passed through Water Dreamer’s body before she returned to human form, though she was left kneeling and panting in the distance.

Red damage value: “-200!”

Zhong Shuman stared in awe. She’d heard of Shu Mountain Sword Sect’s intermediate martial art “Heavenly Sword,” but this was her first time witnessing it.

Heavenly Sword: Man and sword become one; the body transforms into a sharp blade, attacking all enemies within a certain range.

Yet Water Dreamer still hadn’t died. He ignored the weakened Hua Feihong, gulped down two pills, then laughed breathlessly, “You rookies think you can kill me? Heh heh…”

The laughter abruptly ceased. At that moment, he noticed something terrifying: Zhang He, who had been dodging and hiding, had vanished. A chill rushed up from Water Dreamer’s feet to his spine — his intuition screamed: danger was coming!
