Due to the effects of the Bliss Powder poisoning and internal injuries, the two women and Wu Tian quickly fell into a deep sleep after exchanging only a few words. Outside the cave, dawn gradually broke. Seeing that the women were asleep, Wu Tian went to the mouth of the cave, signaled Little Gold to fetch some beast meat, then built a fire and roasted the meat. The flavor of the magical beast meat was far superior to that of wild animals on Earth; after all, these magical beasts grew wild and their meat was exceptionally fresh. Wu Tian also found some plants in the Misty Forest to use as seasonings, making the roasted meat incomparably delicious. Little Gold, accompanying Wu Tian during this period, enjoyed a feast every day.

With the fire crackling and the aroma of roasting meat filling the air, Little Gold squatted beside Wu Tian, drooling in anticipation.

"Today's flower-tailed rabbit you caught has excellent texture—not too tough, not too tender. It’ll taste wonderful once roasted," Wu Tian remarked as he turned the meat.

Little Gold nodded vigorously, eyes fixed on the roasting meat.

...

Inside the cave, the scent of roasted meat drifted in, lingering for a long time. At this moment, the elder sister slowly awoke from her slumber. As her senses returned, she startled and quickly scanned her surroundings, only relaxing once she confirmed there was no danger.

"Sister, sister!" she gently nudged her junior lying on the ground.

The junior rubbed her eyes and asked, "What’s wrong, Sister… Right! We were poisoned by the Bliss Powder from the Empty Door, and now… where are we?"

The elder frowned slightly. "Last night, we fled into this cave and met a young man, and then..."

"And then he saved us. Where is he now?" The junior glanced around the cave, not seeing Wu Tian.

"With the smell of roasting meat, he must be outside," the elder sniffed the lingering aroma.

"Sister, let’s go take a look."

The two women stepped out of the cave and, upon reaching the entrance, saw Wu Tian not far away, roasting meat.

"Sister, it’s him! He’s the young hero who saved us last night!" The junior exclaimed with delight, now certain that they hadn’t been defiled by the Empty Door’s men.

Wu Tian also noticed the two sisters. As his gaze fell upon them, he was inwardly startled.

"What beautiful girls! Last night, the light was too dim to see clearly, but now, both are stunning beauties! This other world truly has natural beauties, far surpassing those made-up celebrities on Earth," Wu Tian mused.

The woman on the left was tall, dressed in a white gown, with a solemn and cool expression. Her features were exquisitely defined, her jet-black brows arched slightly, and her delicate oval face appeared a bit pale—likely due to her unhealed internal injuries. Wu Tian could easily guess that she was the cold elder sister.

The woman on the right was slightly shorter but fuller in figure, wearing a playful blue pleated dress. Her rosy cheeks were adorned with two shallow dimples—she must be the gentle, tender junior sister.

"My dear, you’re awake?" Wu Tian smiled at the junior.

She blushed immediately but still approached Wu Tian, expressing her gratitude, "Young hero, thank you so much for last night. Without your help, we’d surely be dead by now."

"Why thank me? I’m your husband, aren’t I, my dear?"

"Young hero, we are grateful for your rescue, but please mind your words. As I said last night, you saved us, and we can grant you any request—except for marrying my junior sister. She cannot marry you!" The elder spoke sternly.

"But that was your junior’s promise to me. How can you go back on it?" Wu Tian shrugged with an expression of helplessness.

"No matter what, my junior sister cannot marry you! Of course, we will remember your kindness. I can give you a peerless weapon, a top-grade magical core, or a high-level elixir—but marriage is out of the question!" The elder maintained her icy demeanor.

"Peerless weapons, top-grade magical cores, high-level elixirs—I lack none of these. What I need is a wife." Wu Tian shook his head, then turned to the junior. "What do you think, dear?"

The junior looked down shyly, glanced at her sister, and whispered, "Young hero, I truly appreciate your help. I would even consider marrying you, but my sister has cared for me like a sibling and a mother all these years. I’ll listen to her. I’m sorry!"

Wu Tian smiled wryly. It seemed women in any world were not so easily bound to their words, though he did not wish to argue.

"Fine, do as you wish. Just pretend I never saved you," Wu Tian shrugged, tossing a large piece of roasted meat to the sisters.

"Thank you," the junior said softly.

"Young hero, I recall you mentioning last night that you’re a disciple of the Skyward Sect. May I ask your full name? We will never forget your life-saving kindness and will surely visit with a grand gift in the future," the elder, though cold by nature, would not forget Wu Tian’s help.

"No need for a grand gift. As for my name—Wu Tian."

Upon hearing this, the sisters’ eyes widened. The junior asked incredulously, "Wu Tian? Are you the famous Wu Tian from the Skyward Sect?"

"Famous?" Wu Tian was puzzled.

"All of Pingyang City knows there’s a genius in the Skyward Sect named Wu Tian, who had the opportunity to train at the Royal Capital’s headquarters. The city lord even promised his daughter to him. But after a calamity, he lost all his cultivation, was rejected by the city lord, and became an ordinary person unable to cultivate," the elder explained, her beautiful eyes fixed on Wu Tian, as if searching for clues in his expression.

Wu Tian was not particularly surprised; he maintained a smile. "Yes, I am the so-called cripple who can’t cultivate."

"Can’t cultivate? That can’t be. Last night, you single-handedly defeated over a dozen disciples of the Empty Door. Their weakest was a sixth-level martial apprentice, and their senior brother was already a third-level martial master. You easily overcame them; you must be at least a fifth-level martial master. How could you be unable to cultivate? You can’t possibly be that Wu Tian," the junior protested.

Wu Tian kept smiling, while the elder frowned at him, convinced he was the same Wu Tian but unable to understand how a cripple could be so powerful.

"I am indeed the Wu Tian you describe. Enough about me—introduce yourselves."

"Alright, I’m Tong Yixin, and my sister is Tong Yibing," the junior eagerly replied.

"Ha, your names suit you perfectly."

While eating roasted meat, Wu Tian and the sisters conversed, and he quickly learned their backgrounds.

Though they shared the same surname, they were not blood sisters. Both were orphans, adopted and raised by a mentor at the Seven Stars Academy. Growing up together in the academy, they were exceptionally gifted and considered academy prodigies—future elite members of Seven Stars. Despite their contrasting personalities, their bond was deeper than that of true sisters.

Wu Tian was most interested in their strength. Both were still young: elder Tong Yibing was eighteen and already a first-level martial master; junior Tong Yixin was seventeen and a ninth-level martial apprentice. This might not seem impressive to Wu Tian, but within the Skyward Sect or Seven Stars Academy, it was quite remarkable.

A year ago, Wu Tian, at seventeen, was known as Pingyang City’s top genius in the Skyward Sect, but his cultivation was only at first-level martial apprentice. Female talent was generally inferior to male, yet these two sisters matched Wu Tian’s own gifts. Clearly, their future held great promise.

"You two have excellent talent, but you’re still young. To venture so deep into the Misty Forest—you’re quite bold," Wu Tian remarked with interest.

Tong Yixin blushed and stuck out her tongue. "Recently, Seven Stars Academy had a break, so my sister and I wanted some experience. We took a few bounty missions, but ran into trouble. Luckily, you helped us, otherwise..."

"This is already the heart of the Misty Forest. You shouldn’t go any deeper; best return soon."

"Yes, we plan to return, but our internal injuries aren’t healed and we’re worried about danger on the road. Could we trouble you to escort us back to Pingyang City, young hero?" Tong Yixin pleaded, blinking her eyes.

"Uh… well…" Wu Tian hesitated. He had intended to raise his level further, but now, with beautiful girls asking for help, he was conflicted.

"Sister, Wu Tian has already saved our lives. We shouldn’t bother him further. Though our strength isn’t fully recovered, we can manage if we’re careful," Tong Yibing said.

"Alright," Tong Yixin replied, resigned.

"Let’s go, I’ll escort you to Pingyang City. I was planning to return anyway," Wu Tian stood, brushing off his pants.

Tong Yixin’s eyes lit up, a hint of joy in her voice, "You’ll really escort us?"

"Of course, a man’s word is his bond!" Wu Tian pounded his chest.

"Thank you, Wu Tian," Tong Yixin laughed.

"Wu Tian sounds odd. Just call me husband," Wu Tian teased.

Tong Yixin blushed and said nothing more.

Wu Tian then escorted the sisters from the depths of the Misty Forest back to Pingyang City.

Little Gold, who had been sleeping beside Wu Tian, suddenly leapt onto his shoulder and settled comfortably.

"Wow! What a beautiful golden puppy—is it your pet?" Tong Yixin exclaimed, eyes shining as she saw Little Gold.

"She’s my martial pet, but not a puppy—a wolf," Wu Tian explained.

"A Swift Wind Wolf? I thought they were usually silver or gray-black. Gold is rare," Tong Yibing remarked in confusion.

"Rare doesn’t mean nonexistent," Wu Tian replied with a smile, offering no further explanation.

"So adorable! Can I hold her?" Tong Yixin’s eyes sparkled.

"Should be fine," Wu Tian glanced at Little Gold.

Before he finished speaking, Tong Yixin hugged Little Gold tightly, rubbing her in her arms. Little Gold looked at Wu Tian with a face full of disdain and grievance, as if accusing him of abandonment.

Wu Tian’s eyes widened—goodness, Little Gold was squashing Tong Yixin’s chest, enjoying quite the treatment. Too bad she was female.

"Let go of Little Gold—let me hold her!" Wu Tian protested.

"Sister, look how cute Little Gold is! I’ve never seen a magical beast like this before. So docile, not fierce at all. I wish I had one," Tong Yixin said joyfully to her sister, ignoring Wu Tian’s protest.

"Yes, she is indeed gentle and adorable," Tong Yibing agreed.

Wu Tian was speechless—he had been completely ignored.

The journey back to Pingyang City was uneventful; even encounters with second- or third-level magical beasts became Wu Tian’s experience points.

When the three arrived at the massive city gates of Pingyang City, Wu Tian said, "Alright, I need to head north. Let’s part ways here."

"The Skyward Sect is to the south—why are you going north?" Tong Yixin asked in surprise.

"I’m picking someone up. Farewell for now!" Wu Tian smiled, beckoning to Little Gold still in Tong Yixin’s arms. "Little Gold, let’s go!"

"Farewell," Tong Yixin replied.

Little Gold jumped onto Wu Tian’s shoulder, and he turned toward the northern part of the city.

"Sister, do you think he’s really that Wu Tian?" Tong Yixin asked, watching Wu Tian’s departing figure.

"Most likely. But rumor has it that Wu Tian’s meridians are severed and his dantian shattered; he shouldn’t be able to cultivate. Yet his strength is so high…" Tong Yibing frowned in puzzlement.

"Could the rumors be false?"

"Perhaps."

...

After parting ways with Tong Yibing and Tong Yixin, Wu Tian headed for the northern part of the city. Xiao Hui was there; two months ago, Wu Tian lacked the strength to protect her, but now he felt capable and intended to bring her back.

The Soul Pearl in Wu Tian’s hand grew brighter as the distance between him and Xiao Hui decreased.

As Wu Tian hurried toward the north, several people on the opposite side of the street looked at him curiously.

"Huh?! Isn’t that the Skyward Sect’s number one genius, Wu Tian? Tsk tsk… Finally, you’ve appeared. You’ve been gone for two months—quite a while!" A young man approached Wu Tian with a mocking expression.

This was none other than Qin Long, master of Zhao Si, whom Wu Tian had defeated upon arrival.

Since Wu Tian’s fall from genius to cripple, Qin Long had bullied him relentlessly; it was Qin Long’s kick that had sent Wu Tian to this world.

"Get lost!" Wu Tian sneered, showing no courtesy.

"You’ve got guts! How dare you act so arrogantly toward Young Master Qin—are you courting death?" one of Qin Long’s guards shouted angrily.

"Does a dog have the right to speak? Careful, or I’ll beat you so badly even your dog mother won’t recognize you!" Wu Tian scoffed.

"You still think you’re a genius! Now you’re just a cripple with severed meridians who can’t cultivate—a worthless piece of trash no better than a servant…" Qin Long hadn’t finished his sentence when Wu Tian’s figure blurred, appearing instantly before him.

Smack! With a crisp sound, Wu Tian’s palm struck Qin Long’s right cheek, sending him spinning 720 degrees in mid-air before landing spectacularly on the ground.
