There was neither the slightest trace of rage nor any hollow pretense of severity; the words, spoken with utter calm, rang clearly in the ears of everyone present.

From the back of the crowd, a youth with a white monkey perched on his shoulder strolled forward, his demeanor unmistakably languid.

“Are you alright?”

Just as everyone was waiting to see the next move, the youth’s actions left them utterly dumbfounded. He completely ignored Sun Dao and his men, who stood ready and watchful at his side, treating them as if they were nothing but air. Instead, he walked straight past them and addressed Xiao Ying at the rear.

“You are... Ye Feng?” Sun Dao’s face flushed red, his tone uncertain, as he realized the youth paid him no mind.

“It’s Ye Feng! Ye Feng is here…” The exclamations rose from the Ye family’s ranks as soon as they recognized him. Though they were aware of Ye Feng’s strength, his blatant disregard for the Sun family still made them uneasy.

Yet, beneath that worry, Ye Feng’s unruffled manner toward the Sun family stirred a restless pride in the hearts of the dozen or so Ye family youths. In Shrouded Sky City, only the Ye family would dare treat the noble houses of the capital in such a fashion.

“Are you all alright?” Sharing a smile with Xiao Ying, Ye Feng’s gaze swept over the group, each bearing wounds of varying severity, and his brows furrowed.

When he saw several of the family’s young women also bearing injuries, his frown slowly curved into a cold smile.

“If you hurt them, I can forgive that—after all, they were simply outmatched. But to lay hands on women? That, I truly despise.” Ye Feng lifted his head, fixing Sun Dao with a steady gaze, his words coming slowly and deliberately.

“Arrogant,” snarled the two who had been rushing at Ye Mo. With a furious shout, they redirected their attacks toward Ye Feng.

They were both at the stage after awakening, and though they didn’t employ spirit arts, their fists, imbued with spiritual energy, could easily make even someone as tough as Ye Feng suffer if they landed.

“Li—” Almost everyone behind was holding their breath in suspense, and before Xiao Ying could finish her warning, a dramatic scene unfolded that left everyone agape.

At that moment, the two fierce, massive fists were caught—one in each of Ye Feng’s hands, arms outstretched.

No one present, not even Sun Dao, who was at the intermediate stage after awakening, could see how Ye Feng had neutralized the spiritual force of their blows.

“You... let go of me...” After their initial shock, the two whose fists had been captured felt intensely humiliated, gathering all their spiritual energy in their fists to break free.

But no matter how they struggled, Ye Feng’s grip was as unyielding as iron shackles; he didn’t budge an inch.

“I heard you wanted to throw my Ye family’s people into the lake?” Ye Feng’s expression was blank as he regarded the two flailing like clowns. “In that case, why don’t you go down and cool off yourselves?”

With a casual flick of his arms, as easily as tossing chicks, Ye Feng sent the two young men sailing into the lake—showing not the slightest strain.

“I wondered who was putting on such a show—turns out it’s Ye family’s fool. Do you think tossing two good-for-nothings into the lake makes you something special?” Sun Dao’s anger was plain, but he seemed entirely unconcerned by Ye Feng’s display of strength and sneered at him.

Though Ye Feng had thrown his men into the lake with a mere gesture, Sun Dao was confident that, with his intermediate level power after awakening, he could do the same—or more. Besides, his elder brother, Sun Bo, was also here in the “Bright Moon Pavilion.”

As his words fell, Ye Feng smiled, then stepped forward toward Sun Dao.

Seeing him approach, Sun Dao’s spiritual energy surged; he watched Ye Feng warily, ready for anything.

“So how would you feel, being tossed into the lake by a so-called good-for-nothing?” Under the astonished gaze of all, and to Sun Dao’s utter disbelief, Ye Feng took a single step forward...

That simple step somehow spanned several meters. As before, Ye Feng grabbed Sun Dao—whose energy was at its peak—like a child, and hurled him into the lake.

Despite being fully on guard, Sun Dao couldn’t see how Ye Feng had closed the distance.

What truly defied belief was that, even as a cultivator at the intermediate post-awakening stage, giving his all to resist, Sun Dao was as helpless before Ye Feng’s seemingly casual grasp as a child before a strong man.

With a heavy splash, Sun Dao fell into the lake in abject humiliation. Meanwhile, the two youths who had just managed to crawl onto the shore, seeing this, despaired and leapt back into the water, paddling frantically toward the floundering Sun Dao.

“Well done! Young Master... toss them all in! Let them dare look down on our Ye family again!” Cheers erupted from the Ye family’s ranks, some shouting even louder.

At this, Ye Feng turned his head and said, “If all the Ye family’s youth were like you, the clan wouldn’t last months, let alone decades...”

“Though their conduct was excessive, the fact remains—they were stronger. If you lose and still fail to reflect, what use are you to the family?” He shook his head, expressionless, at the one who spoke out.

“Isn’t that enough? You’ve beaten my Sun family’s men, now you scold your own—do you really think my Sun family is powerless?”

Just as Ye Feng’s retort left the onlookers speechless, a voice suddenly rang out, and a figure strode from the nearby pavilion.

“Sun Bo!”

At the sight of the tall, athletic youth in combat gear, Ye Hong and the others turned pale and quickly moved behind Ye Feng, concern in their eyes.

“Brother—brother, you have to kill him! He dared throw me into the lake!” Sun Dao, just crawling from the water, shouted joyfully, soaked to the skin.

“That’s Sun Bo of the Sun family. He’s already reached the innate realm—a renowned name in the capital!” whispered Ye Mo behind Ye Feng.

Ye Feng’s frown deepened as he studied the newcomer, who looked seventeen or eighteen, tall and upright, a pale blue aura of spiritual power swirling around him.

He knew this was an expert of the innate realm, and though defeating him wouldn’t be too difficult, Ye Feng couldn’t shake the feeling that he was being used as a pawn...

When Ye Feng glanced up and saw several faintly discernible figures in a distant pavilion, his suspicion became all the more certain.
