What is the Declaration of Human Rights? Both Leopard and Earring were utterly confused, though they grasped Lin Lei’s meaning. Simply put, he had used the language of the multiverse to persuade Holy Light. Given the abilities he had displayed in the Elven Kingdom, this was not an impossible feat.

“You truly are remarkable,” Earring remarked, finally understanding why Lin Lei said he wouldn’t be a burden to Lin Wen. Holy Light was the nemesis of all evil beings. “Could you see the weaknesses of that male elf just now?”

“At the very least, I could see where the Twin Moons Wheel controlled his body,” Lin Lei replied. Leopard now understood how he knew so much about the monsters in Glan City—that was the power of Holy Light.

“Should we go back and help the Crown Prince?” Leopard asked.

Lin Lei shook his head. “No, since he’s so formidable, I’ll leave him to it.”

After Earring’s explanation, Lin Lei decided not to help Lin Wen. Since his royal brother had an artifact, it was better to let him and the Twin Moons Wheel battle it out. The one confronting Lin Wen was only a puppet; the true body of the Twin Moons Wheel should still be with the new king. If Lin Wen could cause the Twin Moons Wheel trouble, it would be hard-pressed to manage both sides, which would only benefit the queen and Lin Lei.

“Will he be able to keep it occupied, teacher?” Lin Lei asked Earring.

Earring nodded. “With Lin Wen’s abilities, he can indeed draw the Twin Moons Wheel’s full attention.”

Lin Wen was the strongest among them, and the only one capable of threatening the queen and the new king’s duel. The Twin Moons Wheel would not let him act unchecked. In comparison, Lin Lei and his group were far less of a threat. Yet in Earring’s eyes, Lin Lei’s ingenuity was endless; should he reach the queen, he could well be even more dangerous than Lin Wen.

“Xiaobai, I remember you can absorb Lin Lei’s true energy, can’t you?” Earring suddenly asked.

Leopard, carrying Lin Lei and sprinting through the tower, replied, “If it’s not too much, I should be able to.”

“Then, can you absorb the Holy Light he simulates?” Earring continued.

Leopard considered this. “I think so.”

“Lin Lei, try simulating some Holy Light,” Earring instructed. “Pass the Holy Light to Xiaobai.”

Lin Lei was not pleased; his reserves of true energy were running low, and simulating Holy Light was draining. But as his eyes flickered with understanding of Earring’s intentions, he happily conjured Holy Light, tightly hugging Leopard’s neck and transmitting the energy through his hands.

“This power…”

Warm currents surged from Leopard’s neck to every limb, as if, in the dead of winter, a sudden sunlight poured over her, swiftly warming her heart. Her whole being was suffused with warmth, and all fear vanished.

“So this is what Holy Light feels like…” Leopard marveled inwardly. No wonder the number of paladins in human kingdoms far exceeded other professions; this power was truly alluring.

“Quite a sensation, isn’t it?” Lin Lei asked Leopard. “Do you now understand why Lady White never married?”

Leopard did. The proportion of unmarried paladins was notably high. Before, she hadn’t understood, but now she did—Holy Light was so warm. A powerful paladin was always accompanied by Holy Light, their heart filled with righteousness. Perhaps they didn’t even feel loneliness, so why would they care for earthly attachments?

“I smell something foul,” Leopard suddenly announced.

Earring’s gem flashed. “So I was right. Leopard’s body has strong sensory abilities, and Holy Light resonates with the presence of evil. It has heightened your senses, allowing you to detect evil in advance.”

“If we avoid those evil auras, we won’t encounter the Twin Moons Wheel,” Earring instructed. The theory was proven, yet Earring was not pleased—the evil aura belonged to the Twin Moons Wheel, but in ancient times, its presence had been warm and bright.

“Xiaobai, where is the scent strongest?” Lin Lei’s eyes shone with anticipation.

Leopard now guessed their plan, a flicker of doubt in her eyes. “It’s just two floors below, but something feels off.”

“What’s off?” Lin Lei patted her neck. “Never mind, let’s check it out first.”

Leopard nodded, already familiar with the tower’s layout. It took less than ten minutes to reach the destination, but when they arrived, there was nothing—just an empty, circular hall with a sacrificial altar at its center.

“Master, this is the lowest level of the tower,” Leopard said. They had run all the way down; this was the ground floor.

Here, the evil aura was the densest, yet it drifted like mist, as if emerging from the void, with no discernible source.

“The Hall of Fate. So that’s it—such a clever design,” Earring marveled.

Lin Lei reached for Earring. “Do you know what’s going on, teacher?”

“It’s complicated,” Earring replied. “This hall is probably a teleportation array leading to the real Hall of Fate. The Twin Moons Wheel isn’t kept in this tower—the tower is only a decoy, hiding the true location.”

“When you came in, you lost track of the true energy, didn’t you?” Earring asked Lin Lei. Lin Lei found it odd as well—outside the tower, he had clearly sensed the true energy here, but once inside, he could no longer feel it.

“This tower conceals the real Hall of Fate and draws all of its aura here, then disperses it to mislead outsiders.”

Earring couldn’t help but praise the night elves; they had built something impressive, no less discreet than the Elven Palace itself.

“Then where is the real hall?” Lin Lei asked urgently. He had to find it quickly, or else he couldn’t save Eve and the others.

“I don’t know,” Earring admitted. “But I’m sure it’s not hidden in another dimension. The Twin Moons Wheel needs to absorb moonlight, so it must be somewhere in this world, within the Night Elf Kingdom. But we haven’t found such a structure in the Dark Forest—it’s odd, unless it isn’t on the ground at all.”

“Not on the ground? Absorbing moonlight?” Lin Lei’s mind leapt to the answer. “Then it must be in the sky. The sky is the best place to gather moonlight.”

Leopard was incredulous. “Impossible! It would be so obvious in the sky; who wouldn’t see it?”

“…No,” Earring didn’t rule out the possibility. “The Twin Moons Wheel is capable of flight. Perhaps there isn’t even a Hall of Fate—maybe the queen and the new king are right on the Twin Moons Wheel itself.”

Lin Lei paused in surprise. “How big is the Twin Moons Wheel?”

“Its material is special; it can freely change size. With its current energy, I imagine…it could be as large as Florentine,” Earring replied.
