Chapter Six: Is Brother Chen Someone You Dare to Mess With?
Faced with Qin Yan’s clamorous shouting, Qin Muxue was extremely anxious. She understood that Chen Yang had acted so rashly for her sake, but surely his behavior was too drastic. She hurriedly grabbed Chen Yang’s arm and said, “What are you doing? Are you out of your mind?”
Chen Yang deliberately replied, “I just think her car is too ugly. I couldn’t stand it, so I smashed it. Don’t you think it looks prettier now that I’ve wrecked it?”
“What nonsense are you talking?” Qin Muxue was utterly exasperated by Chen Yang.
At that moment, Qin Yan stepped forward and seized Chen Yang’s arm, shouting like a shrew, “You pay for my car! You pay for my car!”
Chen Yang looked at Qin Yan and laughed, “Aren’t you rich? I smashed your car, just buy a new one. Isn’t that what makes you seem wealthy?”
“Bullshit! No matter how rich I am, you smashed my car, you have to pay for it!” Qin Yan shouted.
“Fine, you want compensation, right? Wait here a moment,” Chen Yang said coldly.
With that, he pushed Qin Yan’s hand aside and noticed a nearby bank ATM. Chen Yang rushed to the machine, withdrew twenty thousand, then went to the other two ATMs nearby and withdrew another twenty thousand each, totaling sixty thousand.
Grasping a thick stack of red banknotes, Chen Yang walked back to Qin Yan, tossed all sixty thousand at her, and said calmly, “Is that enough?”
The thick wad of red bills scattered across the ground. Qin Yan was dumbfounded by the scene. Qin Muxue, of course, was equally stunned.
Chen Yang—what kind of dazzling move was this?
Qin Yan stared at the scattered bills on the ground, feeling deeply unsettled. Meanwhile, Chen Yang, with a look of disdain, said to her, “Just now you claimed to be so rich, yet this little bit of money leaves you speechless. What kind of wealthy person are you?”
Qin Yan glared at Chen Yang, her expression brimming with fury.
Chen Yang gave her a thumbs-down, then turned to Qin Muxue and said, “Honey, why are you still standing here? Shouldn’t you be heading to work?”
Qin Muxue looked at Chen Yang deeply and said, “Come get in the car with me.”
Chen Yang knew Qin Muxue must have plenty of questions for him, but he was already prepared with answers.
He got into her red Toyota Corolla, and as Qin Muxue drove toward the company, she looked at him seriously, “What exactly are you trying to do today?”
Chen Yang replied, “We’re not fighting for bread, just for dignity.”
Qin Muxue frowned, “But you just threw away a lot of money.”
“It was quite a bit, but do you know? I secured a ten-million sponsorship for your company today, and I took a commission from it,” Chen Yang said, smiling at her.
“You even got a commission?” Qin Muxue was a little incredulous.
“Of course. I took a fair amount. Those tens of thousands just now—consider them a lesson for Qin Yan,” Chen Yang said with a smile.
“But that’s such a big price to pay. Think of how much you could buy with that money.” Qin Muxue said, feeling distressed.
Chen Yang blinked and said, “Honey, you shouldn’t think that way. Just consider: I smashed Qin Yan’s car, and she’ll have to spend even more to repair it, right?”
Qin Muxue thought it over and nodded. “Hmm, you have a point.”
“By the way, drop me off at the intersection ahead. I’ll take the bus to work,” Chen Yang said to her.
“Okay.” Qin Muxue didn’t think much of it. She stopped the car at the intersection, and Chen Yang got out.
Chen Yang waved to Qin Muxue, and she smiled at him before driving off.
On her way to the company, Qin Muxue felt a warmth in her heart. She realized she no longer disliked Chen Yang as much as before.
After Chen Yang got out of Qin Muxue’s car, he hailed a cab to Huading Corporation.
He had just told Qin Muxue he was heading to work at the delivery company, but that was a lie. He didn’t want to talk about the two billion yet, so he had to keep it secret from her for now.
Arriving at Huading, Chen Yang was led by Shen Donghua on a comprehensive tour of the company, inside and out.
Chen Yang was quite satisfied with Huading’s overall state and instructed Shen Donghua to keep up the good work.
Shen Donghua agreed enthusiastically. After all, if Chen Yang hadn’t seen his potential, he would still be a director at Huading Group headquarters, not the president here in Linhai City.
When the tour with Shen Donghua ended, Chen Yang’s phone suddenly rang. He took it out and saw it was Qin Hao calling.
Chen Yang answered, and Qin Hao cursed without restraint, “Damn you, you worthless trash! How dare you bully my sister? Where are you? Tell me where you are—I’m going to deal with you!”
Hearing Qin Hao’s words, Chen Yang’s lips curled into a cold smile, “Are you really sure about this?”
“Sure your mother! If you have guts, tell me your location!” Qin Hao was so furious, he wanted to skin Chen Yang alive.
Chen Yang smiled slightly, “Fine. I’m at the Guangming gas station. Come find me.”
“Good, Guangming gas station. You’d better not be lying. If I find out you are, I’ll peel your skin off!” Qin Hao said with contempt and rage.
Chen Yang laughed coldly and hung up.
Standing before him, Shen Donghua could see he was in trouble and frowned, “Mr. Chen, is something wrong? Do you need me to handle it?”
“No need. Just manage the company well. This is a small matter—I can handle it myself,” Chen Yang replied with a smile.
“Oh, okay. But if you need anything, call me anytime,” Shen Donghua said respectfully.
“Got it. You get back to work.” Chen Yang smiled, then left Huading.
After leaving, he walked for about ten minutes and stopped at the roadside in front of Guangming gas station.
He chose this spot to meet Qin Hao because it was close to Huading and wouldn’t require much walking.
Chen Yang stood by the road, waiting only a short while, when suddenly a black Buick business van pulled up in front of him.
The door slid open, and seven street youths piled out, including Qin Hao, with his square face and crew cut.
Since making money in the family business, Qin Hao dressed in suits and exuded a scent of expensive cologne, looking every bit the successful man.
This guy had humiliated Chen Yang countless times when he was a delivery man, never missing a chance to throw sarcastic remarks.
The reason Chen Yang agreed so readily to meet was to finally lay things bare—no more pretending; today, he would settle the score.
Qin Hao stepped from the car, strode over, grabbed Chen Yang’s collar in disdain, and sneered, “Damn you, you worthless trash. After years of delivery work, you think you’ve grown some guts? How dare you smash my sister’s car? Get in the van—I’m going to teach you a lesson.”
Chen Yang suddenly gripped Qin Hao’s wrist, removed his hand from his collar, and looked at him, “I smashed her car because she had no self-respect.”
“Your mother’s the one with no self-respect! Get in the van. If I don’t beat you to a permanent disability today, I’m not a Qin!” Qin Hao shouted.
Chen Yang’s gaze turned icy. “Are you sure about that?”
“Absolutely sure. Get in the van,” Qin Hao declared.
The street youths who’d come with him now surrounded Chen Yang, clearly intent on not leaving until he was dealt with.
A cold smile deepened on Chen Yang’s lips.
In truth, Qin Hao had no idea that during the five years Chen Yang worked as a delivery man, he had secretly trained in martial arts under his mother’s guidance.
With the group Qin Hao brought, Chen Yang could take them down in minutes.
He was ready to act, when suddenly a black Mercedes SUV stopped by the roadside.
The driver’s door opened, and out stepped a young man in a white shirt and cropped hair.
Qin Hao seemed to know this young man, and his eyes lit up, “Isn’t that Brother Sun? What brings you here?”
The young man glanced at Chen Yang, then at Qin Hao, and asked indifferently, “What are you doing?”
Qin Hao replied, “Dealing with someone. By the way, where’s Brother Wu? He didn’t come?”
The young man said flatly, “My big brother is here. Do you have a grudge with him?” He looked at Chen Yang.
Qin Hao scowled, “Don’t mention it. This idiot smashed my sister’s car, and I’m here to deal with him.”
“Is that so?” The young man’s eyes flashed with a strange light.
Just then, the rear door of the Mercedes opened, and out stepped Wu Guangde, dressed in black casual wear, with a faint smile.
He hadn’t gotten out earlier because he wanted to hear what was going on. If nothing serious, he’d greet Chen Yang and leave. But if trouble was brewing, he’d step in.
After all, who was Chen Yang? He was his big brother’s big brother.
Wu Guangde got out, and Chen Yang immediately slapped his forehead—so Brother Wu was him. Looks like he wouldn’t need to act today.
Qin Hao, seeing Wu Guangde, hurried over and shook his hand tightly, “Brother Wu, what a coincidence to meet you here.”
Wu Guangde narrowed his eyes, smiling at Qin Hao, “What’s this? You’re dealing with someone?”
Qin Hao shot Chen Yang a look of disdain and cursed, “This idiot smashed my sister’s car. I’m here to teach him a lesson.”
Wu Guangde suddenly snorted with a cold laugh. After a moment, he raised his hand and slapped Qin Hao across the face, cursing, “You dog! My Brother Chen—is he someone you can mess with?”
Qin Hao was stunned by the slap.
Not only he, but the group of street youths he brought were all dumbfounded.
Wu Guangde called Chen Yang ‘Brother Chen’?
What on earth was going on? It was surreal.
