Huang Youlong left Qin Muxue’s office and returned to his own. As soon as he sat down, he pulled out his phone and dialed Chen Yang.

At that moment, Chen Yang was working in the Huading Company’s office. When he saw Huang Youlong’s name on the caller ID, he felt a bit puzzled—what could this old fellow want? Was there trouble at Muxue’s company again?

Chen Yang answered, and Huang Youlong hurriedly said, “Mr. Chen, I’m sorry to disturb you. It’s about Ms. Qin—there’s a little problem at her company, and I wanted to let you know.”

“Mr. Huang, you’re quite something. You’ve become the messenger between me and my wife, haven’t you?” Chen Yang joked.

Huang Youlong laughed awkwardly. “Mr. Chen, please don’t tease me. This might be a small matter for you, but it’s a big deal for Ms. Qin and the company.”

“Oh? A big deal? What is it? Tell me,” Chen Yang’s expression turned serious.

After all, hearing that something serious had happened at Qin Muxue’s company, he didn’t feel like joking anymore.

Huang Youlong grew solemn. “Here’s what happened…” He proceeded to tell Chen Yang everything that had happened at Qin Muxue’s company, in detail.

When he finished, Huang Youlong added with reverence, “I don’t know why, but when Ms. Qin and I couldn't come up with a solution, you were the first person I thought of. I believe you can easily resolve this.”

“Is that so?” Chen Yang smiled faintly.

He pondered for a moment, then a cold glint flashed in his eyes as he muttered, “Strange, lately I keep running into troublemakers. First, let me ask, are you absolutely certain that the batch of cotton jackets your company received was purchased from the Northern Garment Factory?”

“Yes, absolutely certain. I’m sure of it.” Huang Youlong replied with conviction.

“All right, I understand. I’ll handle this. But one thing—I don’t like making a fuss. If I resolve this, don’t go around broadcasting it to everyone. Do you understand?” Chen Yang said.

Huang Youlong quickly replied, “Of course. Don’t worry.”

Still, as he hung up, Huang Youlong couldn’t help but wonder—Chen Yang was clearly very capable, so why did he prefer to keep things quiet?

Perhaps everyone has their own way, and Chen Yang is simply someone who likes to keep a low profile.

After ending the call with Huang Youlong, Chen Yang immediately called Lin Qianyao in the provincial capital, told him what had happened to Qin Muxue’s company, and asked him to take care of it.

Lin Qianyao was formidable; he readily agreed, and handling this issue would be a breeze for him.

Sure enough, just over an hour later, Director Sun from the Northern Garment Factory called Huang Youlong. On the line, Director Sun apologized profusely, saying he had investigated and confirmed that the batch of cotton jackets was indeed produced by their factory.

He courteously promised that any losses Tianmu Company suffered because of the jackets would be reimbursed in full, no matter the amount.

When Huang Youlong received the call from Director Sun, his face was filled with disbelief. He hadn’t expected Chen Yang to resolve the issue so quickly.

What manner of mysterious man was he, really?

Huang Youlong hurried to Qin Muxue’s office and said with a smile, “Ms. Qin, Director Sun from the Northern Garment Factory just called. He admitted the jackets were made at their factory and promised to compensate our company for all losses.”

Qin Muxue’s eyes lit up with surprise. “Is that true?”

“Of course it’s true,” Huang Youlong replied with a broad smile.

But after her initial joy, Qin Muxue thought of something.

Just moments ago, the Northern Factory’s attitude had been tough—they refused to acknowledge the jackets as their product. How had they changed their stance so abruptly?

Her eyes narrowed as she scrutinized Huang Youlong. “Mr. Huang, why did the Northern Company change their attitude so quickly? Did you ask someone for help?”

Huang Youlong’s expression grew conflicted.

Had Chen Yang not told him to keep things low-key, he would have blurted out that he’d asked Chen Yang for help.

But Chen Yang had insisted on discretion, and now he didn’t know whether he should say it or not.

Seeing the secret in Huang Youlong’s heart, Qin Muxue pressed impatiently, “Mr. Huang, what are you hiding?”

After a moment’s struggle, Huang Youlong decided to admit it. “Ms. Qin, to be honest, I called Mr. Chen just now.”

“Mr. Chen? Who? Chen Yang?” Qin Muxue asked immediately.

Though there were many influential people surnamed Chen in Linhai, when Huang Youlong mentioned calling Mr. Chen, Qin Muxue somehow instinctively thought of Chen Yang first.

Huang Youlong nodded slightly. Since he’d already said it, there was no need to hesitate.

“Could it be him again?” Qin Muxue exclaimed.

“That’s right!” Suddenly, Qin Muxue remembered that Chen Yang had a good relationship with Shen Donghua. Maybe, this time, Chen Yang had asked Shen Donghua for help.

Thinking this way, everything seemed to make sense.

But what she didn’t know was that Chen Yang was not Shen Donghua’s subordinate—rather, Shen Donghua was Chen Yang’s subordinate.

With this matter clear in her mind, Qin Muxue decided not to dwell on it any further. She said to Huang Youlong, “Mr. Huang, I understand. Go and handle the follow-up.”

“Yes, of course.” Huang Youlong nodded quickly.

On Chen Yang’s end, he soon received calls from both Lin Qianyao and Huang Youlong, informing him that the issue was resolved.

Chen Yang was naturally very pleased.

Now, anything that happened to Qin Muxue was no longer a problem for him.

At this moment, Chen Yang focused all his attention on a project that Huading Company was striving to secure.

He was determined to win the project and use it as a way to hone his skills.

He thought for a while, intending to call Shen Donghua, but just as he picked up his phone, Shen Donghua pushed open the office door and entered, smiling gently. “Mr. Chen, I have something to report.”

Chen Yang couldn’t help but smile. “I was just about to call you. I needed to discuss something, but you’ve come instead.”

“Is that so?” Shen Donghua smiled with surprise, not expecting Chen Yang to have business with him.

Out of respect for Chen Yang, Shen Donghua said quickly, “Then please, you go first.”

“No, you go ahead,” Chen Yang replied, thinking that Shen Donghua must have something important to report if he came rushing into the office.

Shen Donghua thought for a moment and said, “All right, I’ll go first. Just now, Qin Guofu from the Qin family came to see me in person. He apologized profusely, begged for my forgiveness, but I didn’t give him a clear answer. I told him to wait in the meeting room, and came here to ask for your instructions.”

“He came to beg you?” Chen Yang raised an eyebrow and smiled.

“Yes,” Shen Donghua replied. “He’s probably desperate, with nowhere else to turn.”

Chen Yang smiled slightly, remembering how, back when he was delivering food, Qin Guofu and his family looked down their noses at him.

He felt that leaving Qin Guofu with no way out was only fitting.

After pondering, Chen Yang looked at Shen Donghua and said with a smile, “Walk the path of others, leave them with nowhere to go. Let’s not show him any mercy.”

“So you mean… we continue to refuse cooperation?” Shen Donghua asked.

“I think my intentions are clear enough, aren’t they?” Chen Yang smiled lightly.

Shen Donghua nodded with a wry smile. He understood Chen Yang perfectly.

Chen Yang then recalled his plan and said, “Isn’t the company planning to purchase that land in the northern suburbs for development? How’s that going?”

Shen Donghua responded quickly, “Oh, it’s still in negotiations, but Huading Company is large and powerful, so I think we’re close to securing it.”

“You must secure it. I want to use this project as my touchstone, to test myself,” Chen Yang said seriously.

That was his plan—to use a project worth over a billion to train himself.

Hearing this, Shen Donghua’s expression turned helpless. He thought to himself, “Mr. Chen really is a tycoon, using a billion-dollar project to test himself. The world of the rich truly is different.”

Though he thought this, he knew he had to obey Chen Yang’s orders. He readily agreed, “All right, I understand. I’ll make sure we get that land in the northern suburbs.”

“It must be secured. I want full responsibility and oversight for the project. I want to see if I have what it takes to earn over a billion from it,” Chen Yang said earnestly.

Shen Donghua nodded and replied, “Understood. I’ll go speak with Qin Guofu now, and the second matter is to acquire the northern suburb land.”

“Go ahead,” Chen Yang said with a light smile.

Shen Donghua turned and left Chen Yang’s office.

Soon, he arrived at the meeting room, where Qin Guofu had been anxiously waiting for quite some time.

Seeing Shen Donghua enter, Qin Guofu immediately stood up and asked earnestly, “Mr. Shen, what did Mr. Chen say?”

With his hands behind his back, Shen Donghua smiled, “Mr. Chen said, the answer is still no.”
