Chapter 137: Let's Play with Them for Now

"No... nothing." Qin Muxue replied softly, her expression remarkably complex.

Seeing the grave look on her face, Chen Yang understood what she was thinking. He grinned and said, "Wife, have you finally realized the true colors of your uncle's family?"

"Yes."

Qin Muxue nodded gently. Suddenly, as if struck by a thought, she looked at Chen Yang seriously. "Chen Yang, it seems my uncle has reverted to his old self. What do you think we should do?"

"What should we do? What do you mean? Are you afraid?" Chen Yang asked.

Qin Muxue frowned. "It's not exactly fear. I don't know how to describe it; it's more of a sense of disappointment."

"Muxue, do you believe that in the end, your uncle's family will be the ones to suffer?" Chen Yang asked with a sudden grin.

Qin Muxue looked at him strangely, unsure of what he was planning. After a moment of thought, she whispered, "Are you going to ask President Shen for help again?"

"We'll see about that," Chen Yang replied with a faint smile. "But first, I need to make a call to your uncle."

"Why are you calling him? What good will that do?" Qin Muxue asked, frowning.

"What do you mean, what good will it do? Your uncle keeps sending people to cause trouble for you; shouldn't I have a word with him?" Chen Yang retorted with a cold laugh.

"Well, alright." Qin Muxue nodded gently and said nothing more.

After settling Qin Muxue, Chen Yang left her office and dialed Qin Guofu's number.

He called the first time, but Qin Guofu did not answer. He called again, and it still went unanswered. On the third attempt, Qin Guofu simply turned his phone off.

Seeing that the phone was powered off, a cold, mocking smile appeared on Chen Yang's face. He muttered to himself, "Turning off the phone—good, that's interesting, very interesting indeed."

At 5:30 PM, Qin Guofu left the Qin Group headquarters as usual. As he stepped out, followed by five subordinates, he unexpectedly saw Chen Yang standing at the entrance. He stopped in his tracks.

Chen Yang spotted him too and immediately flashed a smile. "President Qin, I didn't realize I'd have to come all the way to the company building just to see you."

Qin Guofu, who now viewed Chen Yang as an enemy, gave him no pleasant look. He asked coldly, "Speak your mind; I'm busy."

"By teaming up with the Yu family, are you trying to dig your own grave?" Chen Yang asked bluntly with a cold smirk.

"Are you finished?" Qin Guofu asked coldly.

Chen Yang shook his head. "Not yet. One last thing: if you continue to fight me, you had better not regret it later."

"You injured President Xie this morning, and he is currently pursuing legal action," Qin Guofu stated coldly.

"If he wants to pursue it, let him. No one is stopping him. I came here just to tell you: behave yourself. A day will come when you will regret this," Chen Yang said with a cold laugh before walking away from the entrance of the Qin Group building.

Three days passed. Qin Guofu had claimed that Xie Zhisen was taking legal action because of the assault, but Chen Yang had not received any legal documents. Chen Yang guessed that the man was simply afraid and wanted to let the matter rest.

During these three days, aside from working on the Northern Suburbs New Town project, Chen Yang kept a close eye on the movements of Qin Guofu's family. Through his own secret inquiries, he learned that with Qin Guofu's help, Qin Chao had split off from the Qin Group headquarters and established a subsidiary, with Qin Chao serving as its chairman. This subsidiary focused on second-hand real estate transactions and asset appraisal.

Chen Yang heard that since becoming a boss, Qin Chao had regained his vigor and returned to his old, flamboyant ways. Seeing Qin Chao acting cocky again, and knowing that Qin Guofu was bent on making life difficult for him and Qin Muxue, Chen Yang decided it was time to teach Qin Chao a small lesson. After all, if they were determined to make him and Muxue uncomfortable, he certainly wouldn't let the father and son live in comfort either.

At 11:00 AM that day, after finishing his work, Chen Yang called Wang Xu and asked, "Can you do something for me now?"

On the other end of the line, Wang Xu grinned. "Of course, President Chen. Tell me what you need."

"Use your methods to dig up all the dirt you can on a kid named Qin Chao. Post it all online, and send a copy to all his friends and business partners. Do it quickly," Chen Yang said calmly.

Wang Xu replied, "No problem. President Chen, it seems this kid really rubbed you the wrong way."

"Just do what I told you; you don't need to ask questions," Chen Yang said coolly.

"Understood, I'll get on it right away. If everything goes as planned, it should be done by this afternoon," Wang Xu promised.

"Good, get to it," Chen Yang said before hanging up.

After ending the call with Wang Xu, Chen Yang dialed Lin Qianyao, who was far away in Dongjiang City, to discuss how to deal with the Yu family. Chen Yang knew perfectly well that Qin Guofu and Qin Chao were merely pawns for the Yu family—small fry. To solve the real problem, he had to bring the Yu family to their knees.

The phone rang twice before Lin Qianyao answered. "President Chen."

"Have you thought about how to deal with the Yu family?" Chen Yang asked calmly.

Lin Qianyao sighed. "I've been in negotiations with them for the past two days, but the results haven't been great."

"The Yu family is determined to play this game with me. What is the point of negotiating?" Chen Yang said dismissively.

Lin Qianyao pondered for a moment. "Then, President Chen, we should just fight them to the end."

"Naturally. That's why I asked you to come up with some ideas," Chen Yang replied softly.

Lin Qianyao thought again, and a relaxed smile appeared on his face. "Actually, President Chen, there is one method that is guaranteed to work: you must become the underground leader of Dongjiang City. If you achieve that, the Yu family would never dare to move against you again."

"Is that so? In that case, solving this problem seems quite simple," Chen Yang said with a faint smile.

Lin Qianyao added, "With the current strength of the Huading Group, it won't be easy for the Yu family to take you down. Of course, they are an established, powerful family in the provincial capital, so destroying them overnight won't be easy either. The most important thing now is to wait for them to make a mistake while continuing to strengthen our own position."

Chen Yang hung up. By 6:00 PM, he headed home as usual, completely unbothered by the alliance between the Yu family and Qin Guofu.

Meanwhile, after a full afternoon of digging, Wang Xu had gathered plenty of dirt on Qin Chao. As instructed, he sent copies to all of Qin Chao's friends and partners, and posted the rest online.

Qin Chao soon found out and was furious. Instead of going home, he rushed to see Qin Guofu. "Dad, it must be Qin Muxue and Chen Yang! They hired someone to ruin me!"

Qin Guofu replied calmly, "You're talking about those documents regarding you, right?" As Qin Chao's father, he had also received the files.

"Yes! Dad, did you get them too?" Qin Chao asked, his brow furrowed.

Qin Guofu's eyes glinted. "What do you think?"

"Damn it! It must be those two bastards, Qin Muxue and Chen Yang. They probably hired hackers to get this information to sabotage me," Qin Chao spat, clearly outraged.

Qin Guofu nodded in agreement. "It has to be them. Who else could it be?"

"Damn them! It looks like my friends and relatives all got these files. They are trying to destroy me," Qin Chao gritted his teeth.

Qin Guofu's expression darkened. "Since they can do this, why can't you do the same to them?"

Privately, Qin Guofu felt a sense of relief. He had been worrying about how to deal with Chen Yang and Qin Muxue for the past two days; this move by them had just given him the perfect inspiration.

Qin Chao understood what his father meant. "Dad, you mean...?"

"Making money is a small matter. Pleasing the Yu family and keeping them happy is what's most important," Qin Guofu said calmly.

Qin Chao nodded. "I understand, Dad. But hiring hackers... that's going to cost a lot of money."
