Gao Song certainly recognized Chen Yang, but relying on the backing of Xu Tianmeng, he cast Chen Yang a cold glance before turning his gaze to Lin Qianyao and said, “Lin Qianyao, from now on, if you have any issues with me, go tell Brother Meng yourself.”

“Gao Song, don’t think that just because Xu Tianmeng supports you, you can do whatever you want,” Lin Qianyao said angrily.

Gao Song sneered coldly, “What? You don’t even want to acknowledge Brother Meng?”

“Of course I respect Brother Meng, but I’m not done with you yet,” Lin Qianyao said with a face full of resentment.

Gao Song gave a disdainful smile, then cast a dark look at his injured men lying on the ground. Turning around with his hands behind his back, he said, “Let’s go.”

After saying this, Gao Song left and soon disappeared from Chen Yang’s sight.

Shortly after Gao Song’s departure, his men gradually got up and left as well.

Two minutes later, only Chen Yang and Lin Qianyao remained in the private room, which felt cold and empty.

At first, neither Chen Yang nor Lin Qianyao spoke. After a while, Lin Qianyao broke the silence gently, “President Chen, are you alright? You weren’t hurt just now, were you?”

Chen Yang shook his head and smiled, “Those trash weren’t enough to hurt me.”

“Damn it, that dog Gao Song. President Chen, you don’t have to bother with this. I’ll handle it myself,” Lin Qianyao said stubbornly.

“You’ll handle it? How?” Chen Yang suddenly looked at Lin Qianyao, raising an eyebrow.

Lin Qianyao frowned, “Gao Song is so arrogant because of Xu Tianmeng behind him. I’ll find a way to talk to Xu Tianmeng properly. I’m confident I can work it out.”

“So you’re just going to be manipulated by others?” Chen Yang narrowed his eyes and said coldly.

“As long as the problem is solved, even if I suffer some loss, it’s fine,” Lin Qianyao said with a furrowed brow. He was filled with guilt, feeling that this matter was too trivial to trouble Chen Yang over. That was why he wanted to handle it himself and not cause Chen Yang any more trouble.

However, Chen Yang already had his own thoughts and would never allow his people to be controlled by others. He patted Lin Qianyao on the right shoulder and said, “Enough. This isn’t just your problem; it’s a company matter. Since it concerns the company, I have to deal with it.”

“Besides, you’re under me. How could I let others control you? From now on, in Jiangdong Province, even across the whole of Huaguo, no one will dare to bully my people.”

“So, we must take the initiative. Only by taking the initiative can we do business around the provincial capital without being constrained or humiliated.”

Lin Qianyao listened carefully to everything Chen Yang said, fully understanding what Chen Yang was thinking.

Chen Yang wanted to take the initiative—in fact, he intended to confront Xu Tianmeng.

But Lin Qianyao thought to himself, confronting Xu Tianmeng might sound easy, but it’s extremely difficult in practice.

Xu Tianmeng was the underground king of the provincial capital, commanding a force of a thousand men with a widespread influence. Taking down someone like him was no simple matter.

With this thought, Lin Qianyao looked gravely at Chen Yang and asked, “President Chen, some matters are better discussed back at the office.”

“No need. What’s there to fear? Are you worried Gao Song is eavesdropping? Even if he is, so what? Let him hear my thoughts,” Chen Yang said casually.

Lin Qianyao smiled helplessly.

He suddenly felt even more ashamed. Although he was older than Chen Yang, he was far inferior to Chen Yang in decisiveness and willpower.

“Do you know of any decent martial arts schools around here that are for sale?” Chen Yang suddenly asked Lin Qianyao.

Lin Qianyao’s face showed surprise, “Martial arts school? You want to buy one?”

“Yes, that’s my plan,” Chen Yang said with a grin. “I’ve already got two hackers working for me, but it’s not enough. I’ll definitely recruit more. But I don’t have anyone for physical strength. Since I’m going to clash with Xu Tianmeng, it’s perfect timing to train my own fighting force.”

“To have a fighting force, I first need a base. I want to make a martial arts school my base and keep recruiting from there.”

Lin Qianyao listened carefully to every word Chen Yang said and couldn’t help but admire him.

From Chen Yang’s plans, it was clear he didn’t intend to just sit back and enjoy his wealth; he wanted to build a grand enterprise.

Such a young man was far more outstanding than many of his peers.

After a moment’s thought, Lin Qianyao immediately thought of a decent martial arts school for sale.

He knew a senior master who had run a martial arts school for ten years but recently business had been poor, and the master wanted to sell it.

Lin Qianyao had never visited the school, but had heard it was clean and located in the city center with convenient transportation.

Thinking this, Lin Qianyao looked at Chen Yang and said, “President Chen, I do have the kind of martial arts school you want.”

“Really? What’s it called?” Chen Yang asked with a smile.

“Zhengdong Martial Arts School, right in the city. Want to go see it now?” Lin Qianyao asked.

Chen Yang grinned widely, “Of course, let’s go now.”

“All right,” Lin Qianyao nodded without further comment. His only wish now was to help Chen Yang accomplish everything he wanted. As for the conflict with Gao Song, since Chen Yang said he would handle it, Lin Qianyao planned to play a supporting role while Chen Yang set the main direction.

Chen Yang and Lin Qianyao left the restaurant together and drove toward Zhengdong Martial Arts School.

Meanwhile, in the luxurious third-floor office of the extravagant entertainment club owned by Xu Tianmeng, the underground king of the provincial capital, Gao Song was bowing while reporting the evening’s events to Xu Tianmeng.

At first glance, Xu Tianmeng appeared as an ordinary middle-aged man, but he had a notably long neck that gave him a refined appearance.

He always wore a black Zhongshan suit, as today, with dark glasses that concealed his eyes while allowing him to see others clearly.

Xu Tianmeng reclined in his chair, resting the back of his head against it, smoking thoughtfully.

Gao Song lowered his head and spoke softly, “Brother Meng, here’s what happened tonight. I didn’t expect that chairman from Huading Group to be so tough; he injured over forty of my men. Seems he knows some skills.”

Xu Tianmeng continued staring at the ceiling, exhaling smoke slowly, “What about the money?”

Gao Song sneered, “Lin Qianyao still refuses. I was hoping to get the extra fifty million to pay tribute to you, but Lin Qianyao just won’t give it.”

Xu Tianmeng took a deep drag, slowly exhaled, then frowned slightly and said, “Alright, I understand the situation.”

“Brother Meng, you have a plan...” Gao Song said respectfully.

But before he could finish, Xu Tianmeng cut him off coldly, “I said I understand the matter...” Gao Song quickly shut his mouth in fear.

“Leave now,” Xu Tianmeng said.

Gao Song nodded quickly, “Okay, okay, Brother Meng. I’ll leave you to rest.”

He bowed and moved toward the office door, then turned, opened it, and left.

On Chen Yang’s side, he was now sitting in the conference room of Zhengdong Martial Arts School, negotiating face to face with the school’s headmaster, Li Zhengdong.

Li Zhengdong was a sixty-year-old man but looked vibrant, with thick white hair slicked back in a pompadour, appearing much more energetic than many men in their twenties.

At the start of the negotiation, Li Zhengdong forced a bitter smile, “This small amount of money is enough to trouble a hero. If my school weren’t in financial difficulty, who would want to sell?”

“Headmaster Li, sometimes selling isn’t necessarily a bad thing,” Chen Yang said with a faint smile.

Li Zhengdong smiled bitterly again, then looked at Chen Yang seriously and asked, “President Chen, if I agree to sell, how much are you willing to offer?”

“How much do you want?” Chen Yang narrowed his eyes with a smile.

Li Zhengdong held up five fingers, “Five million, to round it off. That’s the usage rights to the school. But the building is an old converted house, so I’m not selling the property itself. How about that?”

“Five million is no problem, but I want the building too. I want the school to belong entirely to me, no strings attached. I’ll give you eight million for everything here, and that’s a lucky number. How about it?” Chen Yang said shrewdly, grinning.
