Han Qin felt a bit embarrassed upon hearing this and waved her hand repeatedly, saying, “I don’t believe it, I don’t believe it.”
Chen Yang smiled faintly and said nothing more.
After a moment’s thought, he turned to everyone with a cheerful expression, “Alright, alright, since Mom’s money is coming back anyway, let’s all get back to our own business.”
“Okay, I’ll go make dinner,”
Han Qin rose from the sofa, her face beaming. Clearly, she was in high spirits because her money was being returned.
Chen Yang glanced at Han Qin, but said nothing.
Of course, seeing his mother-in-law so happy, he was pleased as well.
Han Qin, delighted, went off to the kitchen to cook. Qin Muxue approached Chen Yang with a smile and said, “Chen Yang, thank you so much this time.”
Chen Yang just smiled and replied, “It’s nothing, this is a minor thing.”
“Well then, eat more later,” Qin Muxue chuckled.
“Alright.” Chen Yang laughed. “Honestly, I’m a bit hungry.”
Qin Muxue smiled and said nothing more.
In the blink of an eye, the night passed. The next morning, at eight thirty, Chen Yang arrived at the Huading Corporation office as usual.
He hadn’t been working long when his phone on the desk suddenly buzzed. He picked it up and saw that it was Wu Guangde calling.
Chen Yang was a bit surprised to see the call from Wu Guangde, since it wasn’t often that Wu Guangde took the initiative to call him.
Chen Yang answered, a faint smile on his lips, “You don’t call me often. What’s the matter?”
Wu Guangde replied with a helpless laugh, “It’s actually just a small issue, nothing that should trouble you, but I wanted it resolved quickly, so I called you.”
“What’s going on exactly?” Chen Yang laughed as well, curious after Wu Guangde’s words.
Wu Guangde replied, “Recently, a group of young men have emerged in Linhai’s underground scene. There are ten of them, all trained in martial arts, clearly trying to make a name for themselves here, stirring up trouble everywhere.”
“They caused trouble at my place, and even at Li Sanyi’s place. Originally, I thought I’d send some men to drive them out of Linhai, but my people ended up severely injured by them.”
“Brother Chen, here’s what I’m thinking. Sure, I have a lot of men, but those young guys are strong too. If this keeps up, I’ll eventually deal with them, but it’ll waste time and energy. So I want to ask you to step in, talk to them, and tell them to leave Linhai before things end badly for them.”
“Is that so? Sounds like a minor matter,” Chen Yang said with a slight smile.
Wu Guangde replied, “Exactly, Brother Chen. If I didn’t want to argue with these young guys, I wouldn’t ask you to get involved.”
“So, they’re all martial artists and good fighters, right?” Chen Yang asked.
Wu Guangde confirmed, “Yes, each of them is pretty skilled.”
“Alright, then. Arrange for me to meet them tonight,” Chen Yang said easily.
Wu Guangde quickly responded, “Alright, Brother Chen.”
He seemed a bit apologetic, “Sorry for troubling you over such a small matter.”

“It’s nothing. From what you’ve described, these young men clearly want to keep stirring things up in Linhai. You’re my man, and I won’t let them disrupt things here indefinitely,” Chen Yang replied calmly.
On the other end, Wu Guangde felt reassured by Chen Yang’s words.
He thought for a moment and said, “Alright, Brother Chen, I’ll arrange to meet them tonight and call you.”
“Okay,”
Chen Yang responded softly.
“Good.”
Wu Guangde nodded and hung up.

Soon, it was seven o’clock in the evening.
Wu Guangde personally drove Chen Yang to the entrance of Dongwu Hotel in Linhai.
Dongwu Hotel was just an ordinary establishment among many in Linhai, mid-range, not particularly upscale, frequented by the city’s middle class.
After getting out of the car together, Chen Yang turned to Wu Guangde and asked, “Which room did you book for them?”
Wu Guangde replied, “Room 209.”
“So, they’re all here already?” Chen Yang asked.
Wu Guangde squinted, thought for a moment, and affirmed, “They should be.”
“Alright, let’s go.”
Chen Yang smiled, then said nothing more, striding toward the hotel entrance with Wu Guangde.

They pushed open the door of private room 209. As soon as they entered, they saw a group of young men dressed in identical white T-shirts, smoking and chatting with each other.
There were nine of them, each with a fierce look. Among them, a skinny, bald man sat on a chair with the others standing behind him—it was clear he was their leader.
Chen Yang’s gaze swept over the young men standing, then settled on the bald leader. A slight smile curled at his lips. “Hello.”
The bald man smoked, squinting, saying nothing.
Suddenly, a buzz-cut youth behind him spoke loudly, “My big brother wants to know who you are.”
His tone was aggressive, but Chen Yang didn’t take it to heart, keeping his smile. “I’m Mr. Wu’s boss—the boss’s boss.”
“Boss’s boss? You’re bluffing,” the buzz-cut youth sneered.
Chen Yang smiled, “I’m not here to bluff you. I came to have a proper talk.”
“Talk? What’s there to talk about?” the youth retorted.
The bald leader remained silent throughout, letting the buzz-cut youth speak for him.
Chen Yang didn’t mind, smiling, “I have some influence here in Linhai. I’ve heard about your recent antics. I’d like you to stop and do something legitimate instead of going down the wrong path.”
“Who are you to say we’re on the wrong path?” the youth immediately shot back, frowning and raising his voice.

Chen Yang laughed, “Don’t talk to me that way. Once is fine, but if you keep it up, you might regret it.”
“Who are you trying to scare? That Wu guy beside you made a name for himself in Linhai through hard work. Our brothers can do the same,” the youth declared loudly.
“Yes, you can make a name for yourselves in Linhai, but you can’t disrupt my men’s business,” Chen Yang said calmly.
The buzz-cut youth scoffed, “These days, it’s all about ability. If your man isn’t capable, he should step aside and let us take over.”
Chen Yang glanced at him, not bothering to continue the conversation.
He knew the smoking bald man was their true leader.
He’d already wasted enough breath on a subordinate.
Ignoring the buzz-cut youth, Chen Yang turned to the bald man. “You’re their leader, aren’t you?”
The bald man squinted and smiled, “Whether I’m the boss or not doesn’t matter. What my man said is right.”
“Oh, so no matter what I say, it’s useless? You insist on stirring things up in Linhai and disrupting my men’s business?” Chen Yang asked calmly.
The bald man suddenly looked at Wu Guangde, “Wu, why are you so timid? Just dealing with a few of us and you need help?”
Wu Guangde replied coldly, “Baldy, I’m not timid. If I really wanted to deal with you, you’d be finished. I just don’t want to see you young guys crippled for the rest of your lives.”
“Hahaha…”
The group burst out laughing.
The bald man curled his lips in disdain.
After a moment, he looked at Wu Guangde with contempt, “See? My men, you’ve made them laugh at you.”
Wu Guangde’s brow tightened, his eyes filled with coldness.
Chen Yang was done wasting words and said, “Let’s get to the point. Are you determined to keep causing trouble in Linhai?”
The bald man’s eyes suddenly gleamed with bloodlust, “Didn’t my brother just say it? Nowadays, whoever’s got the skills rises to the top. If you’re useless, step aside.”
“Oh, I see. So whoever’s capable gets to be the boss, right?” Chen Yang suddenly stood up slowly.
The bald man stood as well, “That’s right. What are you thinking?”
Chen Yang rolled his neck, “I hear you’re all good fighters.”
The bald man’s eyes flashed with confidence, staring at Chen Yang with a self-assured expression.
Chen Yang glanced at him, then lazily said, “If it’s really about ability, then all ten of you weaklings can come at me together. I’d like to see just how capable you are.”
