Zhang Tianling stood on the ground, blood steadily flowing from his chest. He raised his hand and pressed a few acupoints, causing the bleeding to gradually stop. He saw the young man calmly walking straight toward Cao Dan, with an air of ease and nonchalance.

“Long, what are you doing? That’s beyond your ability to handle. Quickly call your master or someone to protect you, or we’ll all die here.”

Zhang Tianling shook his head involuntarily, thinking Luffy was going to his death. He rushed forward abruptly but was too late. Two pitch-black vines suddenly shot out from behind Cao Dan, piercing forward. It was clear the youth would be impaled through the heart, blood splattering the ground, coughing up blood and dying.

Nearby, the immobilized Gong Juechen also doubted Luffy’s fate. After all, the youth had not made a move since the beginning. Though mysterious, he appeared utterly powerless, hence his inaction. Gong Juechen thought the boy must be heading to his death—it was just too foolish.

“Hey, hey... can you stop rushing to your death for a moment? Help me pull out these white bones stuck in me first?”

“No!” The little White Bone Spirit suddenly lunged forward, trying to pull Luffy aside, but was stunned by an incredible scene. The two vines were caught by the youth called Long, who then burned them into ash with blue-white flames.

“Whoosh...” The blue-white flames suddenly spread forward.

Cao Dan was momentarily stunned, feeling intense pain from the vines. He sensed the terrifying power of the blue-white flames and quickly severed the two main vines. Otherwise, he might have been burned to death by those flames—his instincts warned him.

He took several hurried steps back, realizing the youth was no ordinary opponent. Such strange flames and the inability to gauge his strength were baffling. This boy might be a wild card. He had to strike swiftly and unexpectedly to kill him before he had a chance to unleash those flames, or else trouble was inevitable.

“Pierce the heavens!” Cao Dan’s eyes darkened. In an instant, he thought using his ultimate move to eliminate the youth immediately was the best option. His mind shifted, and the vines behind him suddenly shot downwards.

“Boom...” Countless vines pierced upward from the ground beneath Luffy’s feet, shooting toward the sky. “Swish, swish...” They ripped through the air, engulfing Luffy.

Explosions echoed.

“Haha... ah...” Cao Dan laughed maniacally but abruptly stopped when he saw the vines ignite with blue-white flames. Then, “whoosh...” all the vines were consumed by the blue-white fire, turning to ash.

Ash scattered through the air.

Luffy’s figure remained motionless on the spot, completely unharmed. Cao Dan’s eyes widened in shock, mouth agape. He had never expected the youth’s blue-white flames to be so formidable. He was stunned that the boy concealed his true strength and had even broken his ultimate move. He now realized the youth was a formidable expert.

He wanted to flee, but the sudden pressure radiating from the youth was like a mountain pressing down on him, pinning his feet to the ground, unable to move an inch. Just like Rong Momo—had she fallen victim to the youth’s power earlier? The thought sent chills down his spine. He broke out in cold sweat.

“How... how is this possible?” Zhang Tianling couldn’t believe he had misjudged the youth. The boy’s calmness stemmed from his incredible strength. His safe arrival from Jiuzhou City to this place was proof of his power. Zhang Tianling felt foolish, like a clown, for having just told him not to rush to his death. He was truly ashamed in front of the youth.

Gong Juechen nearby was the most shocked of all. The boy’s blue-white flames reminded him of someone—the youth named Luffy.

That youth was the same age as the one called Long before him, also wielding blue-white flames, and their mannerisms were strikingly similar. Gong Juechen realized that someone had been impersonating Luffy, even showing off arrogantly—how embarrassing! No wonder the real Luffy had said he shared that name, unwilling to expose the impostor.

Gong Juechen felt utterly humiliated.

Beside them, He Xueqi also witnessed the formidable power of the youth called Long. It gave her hope—a glimpse of the young hero who could unite Jiuzhou and defeat the six great quasi-kings: Luffy.

They were incredibly alike—the flames, the posture, the expression.

Her eyes sparkled like stars. “Wow... so handsome...”

The little White Bone Spirit was also stunned. She hadn’t expected the person she was trying to save to be so powerful. If not for her kindness, she would have died long ago. She felt incredibly lucky. Perhaps she could finally escape the White Bone Lady’s grasp; maybe this youth could make it happen.

“How do you want to die?” Luffy looked at Rong Momo and Cao Dan. They were merely subordinates of two powerful two-star quasi-demon kings—already quite formidable but still had to be eliminated.

“Heh heh... you can’t kill us. Our king has already arrived. You... and all of you will die horribly,” Cao Dan snarled.

“Exactly. You’d better release us. Our king is no one you can provoke. They are even stronger than the six great quasi-kings from Jiuzhou City,” Rong Momo said proudly, hoping to intimidate the youth with their backing.

“Oh, you think I’m afraid? One by one, pair by pair—easy,” Luffy replied calmly. Blue-white flames flared fiercely in his hands, thrown toward Rong Momo and Cao Dan as sparks flew.

“No...” They screamed in despair, hearts breaking. Despite their powerful backing, the youth was intent on killing them—terrifying indeed.

“Boom...”

Suddenly, countless massive vines and white bone spikes shot upward from the ground, transforming the dilapidated temple into a hornet’s nest, thickly covered and terrifying.

In an instant, no one had expected this to be the attack of the White Bone Lady and the millennial tree demon.

Too sudden.

No one could have foreseen the countless bone spikes and sharp vines piercing the entire ruined temple, forming a cone-like shape.

Rain poured down heavily.

The White Bone Lady sat inside a red sedan chair, shaded by an umbrella. She wore a bright red cheongsam, her figure eerie, radiating an ominous aura.

On the other side was a carriage made from trees, intricately carved with dragons and phoenixes, pulled by four mythical beasts. It was ancient and exuded a faint but strong demonic aura.

“I don’t know what’s happening inside the ruined temple, but there’s a terrifying aura coming from within. It’s right that we act together,” a man’s voice came from inside the carriage.

“Indeed. I sensed it too. Rong Momo and your men shouldn’t die—the protective talismans we gave them will shield them,” the woman in the red sedan chair said coldly, her voice haunting.

The woods were dark and sinister. The scene around the ruined temple was eerie and dreadful.
