Lu Fei, Daokong, and Zhao Wushuang all looked toward the edge of the mountain, where a man and a woman stood, glaring at them with icy hostility. It was the man who had spoken. Behind them loomed a massive ten-meter-tall fox demon, its bestial form resembling a small hill.

The sight caused the pupils of Zhao Wushuang and Daokong to constrict violently; they had not expected to encounter a fox demon of such immense proportions. It was truly a shock.

"Damn it..." Daokong, shedding his monk-like composure, was completely stunned. The sheer scale of the monster was overwhelming. If it were to step on him, he would be crushed into a pulp; it was terrifying.

"Run!" Zhao Wushuang retreated directly behind Lu Fei, her will to fight shattered by the creature's overwhelming power.

"I need protection too!" Daokong scrambled behind Lu Fei as well.

"Get lost, both of you. What is there to be afraid of? It’s just three Tier 7 fox demons. It’s not like I haven’t killed them before," Lu Fei said calmly.

"As long as you’ve killed them, that’s fine. We were worried you hadn't. Since we don't have to die, why don't you step in and wipe them out so we don't have to sacrifice our lives?" Daokong replied with a nervous, earnest smile.

"To hell with you," Lu Fei muttered, speechless at the man's audacity.

"Listen here, you lot," Daokong raised his voice, adopting a haughty tone. "You’d better scram! Our companion, Brother Long, is incredibly formidable. He’s even defeated a 3-star quasi-wolf king and slain Tier 7 quasi-kings. If you don't want to die, get out of here now!"

"Heh... who are you trying to scare?" the female Tier 7 fox demon sneered, looking smug. "I have good news for you: I’ve already found a suitable woman. Our siblings have taken her underground. Once her blood is dripped into the formation, the seal’s guardian spirit will be awakened. We will annihilate them, claim the Sarira, and everything will come to a perfect end."

"Oh, quite clever," Lu Fei said, unimpressed. "If I wipe you out and then go down there to finish off the others, won't that bring everything to an end?"

"Heh... you make it sound so easy," the male Tier 7 fox demon shook his head, clearly disbelieving. "Though I can't read your strength, you can't be more than Tier 5 or 6, right? Think you can take us?"

"Damn it, why aren't you attacking yet? If they release that Nine-Tailed Fox, we're done for!" Daokong urged, his anxiety peaking.

"Exactly! Brother Long, stop showing off—charge!" Zhao Wushuang added, feeling helpless.

"Oh, was I showing off?" Lu Fei wondered. He didn't usually force a display of power, but he acted with an effortless strength. He lunged forward, and the massive fox demon swiped down with its gigantic paw.

A thunderous boom shook the earth as dust billowed into the sky, and several trees were shattered by the impact.

"Damn, that was brutal! Is Brother Long dead?" Daokong’s eyes widened, his face pale as he took a few steps back.

"I hope not, but we should be ready to run at any moment. Brother Long, if you die, we’ll be sure to burn some paper money for you," Zhao Wushuang said, watching the swirling dust with grim focus.

Suddenly, a geyser of blood erupted from the center of the fox demon’s palm. A black silhouette shot into the sky, wreathed in blue-white flames and dragon energy. With a swift punch, Lu Fei pierced through the giant creature’s head. He emerged from the other side holding a crystal core. The massive beast let out a final, agonizing cry before collapsing, blood spraying everywhere.

"Impossible!" The female fox demon’s eyes bulged in disbelief. She had never imagined he would be this powerful—taking down her behemoth with a single blow. The massive body crashed to the ground, crushing countless trees.

"How... how could this be?" The male fox demon was equally shell-shocked.

Lu Fei hovered in mid-air, looking like a celestial being.

"Wait, he can fly?" Daokong was bewildered. This was too cool. It was said that only those at Tier 10 and above could fly—could he be a Tier 10 master?

"That seems unlikely. He must have mastered some sort of Heaven-tier technique," Zhao Wushuang speculated, her voice trembling with shock.

"He truly is a titan; he’s on par with our sect leader," she added solemnly.

"Indeed, his cultivation is unfathomable. He is easily a match for our sect leader," Daokong agreed.

Looking up at the sky, they saw Lu Fei floating, a blue-and-white lotus-shaped flame coalescing in his hand. It drifted upward, rotating against the starry sky and growing larger by the second.

"What... what kind of fire is that? Why is it so terrifying?" the female fox demon stammered, paralyzed by the sight.

"Damn it, this is bad! Run!" The male fox demon scrambled backward, terrified. They couldn't hope to withstand such a flame.

"Oh, fine then, run," the female fox demon hissed, darting away with lightning speed.

"Hey, wait for me!" The male fox demon shouted, stunned that his companion had abandoned him.

Boom! The giant lotus fire descended from the heavens, engulfing the male fox demon. He let out a series of agonizing screams before being incinerated. The flame left nothing but a trail of ash and a Tier 7 crystal core, which Lu Fei plucked from the air. He glanced toward the fleeing female fox demon, but she had moved too fast; chasing her was out of the question. The situation underground was the priority—if the Tier 9 Nine-Tailed Fox were released, it would be a disaster. It was truly a troublesome night.

Lu Fei landed, activated his Samsara Heavenly Eyes to scan the ground for the entrance, and then surged toward the distance.

"Is he for real? He took out a Tier 7 fox demon in one move and scared the other away," Daokong said, still reeling from the display of power.

"He’s strong—incredibly strong," Zhao Wushuang agreed, looking at Lu Fei with newfound reverence. If he was this powerful while still so young, the future was unimaginable.

Lu Fei reached the edge of a mountain, pushed aside some vines, and revealed a cavern. Daokong and Zhao Wushuang followed closely behind.

"Is this the entrance to the underground?" Daokong asked curiously.

Lu Fei nodded without a word and stepped inside. It was damp, dark, and pitch-black, but Lu Fei didn't need a light; his Samsara Heavenly Eyes pierced through the gloom with ease.
