Chapter 75: Far Too Weak—I'm Reluctant to Make a Move (First Update)
Luffy turned to look at Zhao Liying, Hua Qianyu, and the famous celebrity Yang Mi, who often collaborated with Zhao Liying. He hadn’t expected the three of them to be such close friends.
Yet their gazes toward Luffy were filled with adoration, their eyes sparkling like stars.
“You’re incredible! You managed to defeat them all in one move. But letting that man go—won’t that be like setting a tiger free?” Yang Mi asked, a note of surprise in her voice, her presence captivating.
“It’s nothing to worry about. I let him go on purpose. When he returns to the Wang family, his body will destroy itself. It’s a warning to them,” Luffy replied calmly, showing utter disdain for the Wang family.
One should never be too arrogant; offending the wrong people could lead to a terrible fate.
Luffy walked downstairs from the KTV. The reason he had been able to locate Qin Bailin’s private room so quickly was entirely due to the power of the Samsara Heavenly Eye. Without it, he wouldn’t have known how long it would take to find her.
Zhao Liying, Hua Qianyu, and Yang Mi all followed closely behind, their eyes fixed on Luffy’s figure. Yang Mi, in particular, couldn’t hide the stars in her eyes as she watched him—this youth was handsome and possessed extraordinary strength, a rare combination.
Luffy waited for Young Master Wang to arrive; the man was far too greedy, wanting not only Qin Bailin’s spatial ring but also sending his henchmen to wreak havoc everywhere. If he came tonight, he would die; if not, he would be spared.
Luffy gave him half an hour. If he didn’t show up, Luffy would leave with the others.
The man drove a black sedan, racing madly toward the Wang family estate, heedless of his own life or those of others, speeding like a hurricane.
His mind still reeled with fear from the encounter with that terrifying youth—a single gesture had obliterated seven henchmen, reducing them to ash. With one hand, he had stopped bullets, then reflected them back. Death itself seemed to linger in the air.
The thought made him break out in cold sweat, his palms slick with fear. He drove straight into Young Master Wang’s villa, rushed to the door, and knocked urgently.
“Knock knock…”
The banging was frantic.
Wang Shihuai was embracing a seductive woman, fondling her curves. When he heard the knocking, he immediately spoke in a deep voice:
“Come in.”
The man stumbled in, falling to the ground like a dog.
“What’s going on? Where’s Zhao Liying? Where did that little temptress run off to?” Wang Shihuai stared in disbelief at Chen Gou’s panicked entrance. Had something truly terrifying happened?
“Boss, we nearly succeeded, but suddenly a young man appeared and wiped out our seven henchmen in an instant. He sent me to tell you—he’s waiting for you at that KTV, for you to deliver yourself to him.”
Chen Gou barely finished speaking when something erupted from his body.
“Aaaah…”
Chen Gou screamed frantically, flames bursting from his body, burning ever more fiercely. The air grew scorching. The woman beside Wang Shihuai shrieked in terror and fled to the corner.
“Help me… help…” Chen Gou’s desperate cries echoed, his agony overwhelming.
Wang Shihuai stood frozen, stunned by what he saw. He wondered what sort of person Chen Gou had offended, to unleash such a strange fire that could linger within a body for so long before erupting.
He was deeply shocked, his eyes cold and icy. Someone dared challenge him—this was suicide. He immediately picked up the phone. “Master Su Dong, your presence is requested.”
“Very well,” came a wizened voice.
Wang Shihuai summoned a top-tier sixth-level expert; he couldn’t believe that man couldn’t be destroyed. To challenge him was to court death.
Lately, everything seemed to be going wrong. Attempting to snatch a spatial ring ended in total defeat, trying to win over a national goddess ended the same, and now his dignity was under attack. If he didn’t go, he would be looked down upon. Rage boiling within him, he needed an outlet, and this challenger was the perfect target. Tonight, he would tear the man apart for daring to oppose the Wang family. Only the Li family dared to challenge him in this safe zone; some unknown nobody had the audacity to provoke him.
He changed clothes and strode outside, calling only Master Su Dong. No others accompanied them—just the two of them in the back seat, with a driver in front, speeding toward Paradise KTV.
Half an hour felt like an eternity.
Luffy and his companions went for a meal, then returned to the front of the KTV. A luxurious sports car screeched to a halt, tires smoking as they slid to a stop before Paradise KTV.
The back door of the sleek, blood-red sports car swung open, and two men emerged: one old, one young.
The older man was simple in appearance, white-haired, wearing a gray collared T-shirt and loose black casual pants, with black cloth shoes. The younger man was dressed flamboyantly in sportswear, stepping out of the car with arrogant, forceful energy.
Upon seeing Zhao Liying, Yang Mi, and a youth together, Wang Shihuai’s eyes grew cold. Clearly, this was the boy who had rescued Zhao Liying and her friends.
The two men approached Luffy.
“So you’re the one who killed my men and saved Zhao Liying?” Wang Shihuai stared coldly at Luffy, sizing him up. The boy seemed ordinary, possessing only third-level strength. How could he have wiped out so many of Wang’s henchmen? It made no sense.
Impossible.
“I did. With a wave of my hand, they died as easily as a cloud passing by. Pathetic. You must be Young Master Wang, greedy enough to want not only the spatial ring but also the woman,” Luffy replied, his hands clasped behind his back, his tone indifferent.
“You... you’re the one who killed the men I sent out at yesterday’s party?” Wang Shihuai’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“Heh, that’s right. It was me,” Luffy answered calmly.
“Third level, able to kill so many? I don’t buy it. To me, you’re nothing but weak,” Su Dong said, hands behind his back, completely dismissing Luffy. With his strength, he could destroy Luffy without effort; Wang Shihuai was making a mountain out of a molehill. As the Wang family’s second-ranked expert, being sent to deal with a mere nobody was laughable.
“Master Su, eliminate him,” Wang Shihuai said seriously.
“He’s too weak. I’m not interested,” Su Dong replied, shaking his head. He glanced at Luffy once, then lost all interest.
“How impressive—daring to look down on me. Your arrogance surprises me,” Luffy said, unruffled, meeting the old man's gaze.
“Master Su, if this guy could kill eight of my men, he’s no ordinary person. He must be hiding his true strength. Otherwise, there’s no way Zhao Liying and her friends could have wiped out eight powerful henchmen,” Wang Shihuai said earnestly to Master Su.
Please recommend and reward.
