Chapter 86: Never Underestimate Girls—They’re Far Too Terrifying!
Ye Luo said nothing more, merely responding with a quiet, “Mm.”
It meant she truly could run fast.
“If you can’t keep up, just let us know!” Ye Wuqi and the others reminded her before picking up their pace.
As soon as they finished speaking, they sprinted ahead.
With their long legs and tall frames, their speed instantly left the students of Class One far behind.
But then, to their astonishment, even at that speed, their Sister Luo wasn’t falling behind at all! She was right there with them, running side by side!
Still, they decided not to dwell on it—better to finish the two laps first.
With that thought, they focused on charging forward, and by the time they completed both laps as swiftly as the wind, Class One hadn’t even finished half a lap…
Class One could only stare in disbelief.
Ye Wuqi and his friends, however, paid little attention to their classmates’ reactions. Instead, they lavished praise on Ye Luo, who had finished almost simultaneously with them, her face unflushed and breath calm.
Jogging in place, Ye Wuqi’s eyes sparkled with admiration. “Sister Luo, not bad at all! I honestly thought you’d fall behind halfway, but you’re incredible.”
Qin Zhaoyu bent over, hands on his knees, gasping for breath. “I… I think I finally get how Sister Luo took me down so easily last time. Just look at her—not even breathing hard. And look at me, panting like a dog.”
Ye Luo, who had been restraining her speed, was speechless. How could someone compare themselves to a dog?
“That’s why,” Yan Baba, draped across Lei Xingxing’s back and panting, added, “you can’t look down on girls. Girls are terrifying beings who lose a ton of blood every month and still survive!”
He even shuddered in mock fear at the thought.
Ye Luo had no words for that either.
Lei Xingxing, like Ye Wuqi and Ye Luo, showed no trace of exhaustion or flushed cheeks.
He had legs for days and was naturally athletic.
Yet, at this moment, he was supporting Yan Baba with one hand to keep him from toppling over, and holding up the still-gasping Qin Zhaowen with the other.
Qin Zhaowen was even more out of breath than his brother, unable to utter a single word, only able to gasp for air.
“I told you, Sister Luo isn’t an ordinary girl,” Lei Xingxing said with a goofy grin.
Qian Xiaoxing walked over, watching Qin Zhaoyu and the others catching their breath, his eyes full of envy as he shyly said, “I wish I could run with you guys too.”
Ye Wuqi immediately pinched his nose in disgust. “Wish for what? We’re all drenched in sweat—it stinks! Just look at Zhaoyu and Baba, they really stink now!”
“Yeah, it’s awful,” Qian Xiaoxing agreed, nodding vigorously before pursing his lips into a smile. He pinched his nose too, as if the smell from Qin Zhaoyu and Baba was truly unbearable.
Qin Zhaoyu and Yan Baba, refusing to believe it, took a sniff of themselves. Instantly, they recoiled, jumping up in shock. “Damn! We really do stink!”
Seeing this, Qian Xiaoxing could barely contain his laughter.
“Hahaha…” Ye Wuqi collapsed onto Lei Xingxing with laughter.
Lei Xingxing and Qin Zhaowen were also laughing uncontrollably.
Ye Luo, whose sense of smell was sharp but who detected at most only the scent of sweat, watched the commotion with calm detachment.
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the principal leading Gong Lu toward the track, but she paid no attention and continued to watch Ye Wuqi and the others fool around.
Once Yan Baba caught his breath, he saw that Class One still hadn’t finished, all of them huffing and puffing, so he put his hands on his hips, faced them, and launched into a frenzied mockery—
“What’s the use of good grades? Just look at you all, weak as chicks!”
